I am 30 years old and live in Sweden. I've been thinking about having rhinoplasty for a long time. I didn't like the way my nose had a hump. I sent an e-mail to the clinic in June 2015 and got information about the whole process. Before going under general anesthesia, I did not feel any discomfort. The nurses are very helpful and interested, but quite weak in English. I spent the night after the surgery in the hospital. My doctor was also near me. The surgery was obviously the easy part. You should be very patient and well rested after you leave the hospital. This trip is for rhinoplasty and nothing else. Good rest is important for faster recovery and less swelling. The first 3-4 days were tiring. There was no bruising and yellowing under and around my eyes. My face was swollen, of course, but it was back to normal on the sixth day. After removing the tampon and silicone packings that help you breathe, I felt much more relaxed. I was able to breathe through my nose right away. Also, my sense of smell and taste started to come back. After the surgery, to monitor my recovery and make sure everything is okay before returning home, I had a meeting with Dr. İlhan. Dr. İlhan allowed me to see my nose without stitches during my third postoperative consultation on the eighth day after surgery. At that moment, although my nose was still swollen, I was pleased. In 6-8 weeks, all swelling subsided. However, it takes a few months to see the final result fully. There were no signs on my face (except for the new shape of my nose) that my nose was incomplete.
