Technical SEO involves making optimizations to a site that makes crawling and indexing more efficient. This allows Google to serve the right content from your site to users at the right time.

A website owner may have the best website with the best content, but their website may not rise in rankings if their technical SEO is neglected.

There is a lot that can be done for technical SEO, and while this is not a definitive list, a qualified SEO professional should be able to:

  • Identifies all crawl errors on a website

  • Learn how Google views a website's pages

  • Checks the mobile compatibility of a website

  • Checks if a website is properly secure

  • Checks the loading speed of a website

  • Fixes broken links.

What is On-Page SEO?

on page seoOn-Page SEO refers to the optimization of web pages to rank higher. With a higher ranking, you can gain more relevant organic traffic from search engines.

In other words, On-Page SEO involves optimizing all the elements that affect SEO on a website.

An ideally optimized web page looks like this:

  • Relevant to a specific topic or keyword (keyword research has been done and applied).

  • The subject or keyword of the page must be included in the title tag, URL and image alt tex

  • The subject or keyword should be mentioned several times throughout the text content on the page.

  • A web page should return to its subcategory or category page, if any.

  • Backlink to the homepage (usually achieved by an image link in the top left corner of a page showing the website logo).

What is Off-Page SEO?

  • Social media marketing

  • Content marketing

An easy way to think of Off-Page SEO is to make changes to a website or publish content on a website.

Any tactic used to improve SEO that does not involve May.

For example, if you write a great blog post and it is retweeted by an influencer in your niche, that counts as an example of Off-Page SEO.
