How about spring cleaning these days when we leave the winter season behind? Of course, we will start the first cleaning from our skin, not a drawer, a house, or a corner. Our subject is HydraFacial and we are treating the treatment with Physician Sevgi Ekiyor MD: “HydraFacial is actually a combination of skin beneficial acids, What are they? Glycolic, beta, lactic, salicylic, and hyaluronic. It's as effective as microdermabrasion, but not painful, and you don't have to wait any length of time for it to heal. You can return to your social life immediately after the treatment.
Well, this magical 25 to 40-minute treatment can solve everything from dehydration to discoloration, aging to acne, and uneven skin texture. HydraFacial is the only hydra-dermabrasion procedure that basically uses patented technology to cleanse and moisturize. The 40-minute treatment consists of 3 stages:
HydraFacial reveals a new layer of skin with gentle exfoliation and soothing resurfacing. Activ-4™ serum exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal healthy skin, and GlySal™, a blend of glycolic and salicylic acids, offers the benefits of exfoliation without post-peel crusting.
HydraFacial, with its painless suction power, removes the residues in the pores and nourishes the skin with intense moisturizers that soothe. Its patented, automatic swirl suction feature painlessly cleans the pores with its special Beta-HD™ serum, and Antiox+™ serum nourishes and protects the skin with antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid.
HydraFacial saturates the skin's surface with antioxidants and peptides to maximize your radiance. We can say that it offers targeted, proprietary skin solutions for specific skin problems.
There are a few important differences. For example, when using manual extractions in the treatment of microdermabrasion, in the HydraFacial we rely on the vacuum-like tip to perform a more thorough clean than traditional extraction. This is also much less painful. HydraFacial can also be used on all skin tones. I would also like to add that the treatment takes its name from the hydrate root, so its skin moisturizing feature distinguishes HydraFacial™ from all other skin rejuvenation procedures. The treatment is soothing, refreshing, non-irritating, and has an immediate effect.
HydraFacial can be applied to most skin types, including very sensitive skin. However, I generally do not recommend it for those with active rashes, sunburns, or rosacea, as it can cause more damage. Some ingredients used during the HydraFacial, such as salicylic acid, are not tested. I do not recommend it as it has not been proven safe during pregnancy.
Many of my patients report seeing visible skin improvement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. As you said, a complete spring cleaning…”
