$200,000 Facelift?
Traveling from her home in Woodlands, Texas to New York and perhaps best known for making designer bodies, Plastic Surgeon Marc Jacobs had performed a facelift, brow lift, upper and lower eyelid surgery, lip and neck lift, earlobe reconstruction and rhinoplasty, to Mrs Back. She says, "The price I paid is a little higher than what I think, but I'm happy with the results."
Mrs. Back said, "I have a Rolls-Royce, I have three houses, I have everything I could ever want, but I was still depressed. Yes, I had a facelift. It's my face and it goes everywhere I go."
So Why Not Give $200,000 a Facelift?
Just as the prices of luxury real estate, art, cars, and other collectibles have skyrocketed in recent years, a select group of plastic surgeons has increased their prices. The funny thing is, patients wait in line for months…
Beverly Hills and Sacramento plastic surgeon and former president of the American Academy of Facial Plastics, Dr. Sykes says "It's a bit like the label on a garment, or better if the wine costs more," and he aded: "Is facial surgery worth the super high tariff? Only the consumer can decide that.” (Dr. Sykes' facelift costs between $40,000 and $50,000)
“Your face is your job, your love life, your identity.”
A plastic surgeon in Manhattan, Dr. Lara Devgan describes her work as follows: “Think of it as if the artist made a beautiful painting for you. (Dr. Devgan wants $200,000 for a facelift.
Dr. “It may seem like a big number at first glance, but I think of it as a question of value, not cost,” Devgan says. “Your face is your job, your love life, your identity.”
